How Block Span Works

This page explains the exact scoring, payout modes, controls and wallet rules of this guide’s original Block Span demo.

Core Scoring Mechanics

Ten independent fair bits decide whether each possible edge is present between five labelled vertices. The switches are ordered 01, 02, 03, 04, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 34, giving 1024 equally likely graphs. K5 describes the possible edges; a drawn graph need not be complete.

For every vertex subset, take its induced subgraph: keep exactly those vertices and every drawn edge between them. Find the largest such subgraph that is connected and has no articulation vertex, meaning that removing any one vertex does not disconnect the remaining vertices. Its vertex count minus two is the raw reward, with a minimum of zero. The reward is 0, 1, 2 or 3; their counts among 1024 graphs are 291, 245, 250 and 238.

Select power 1, 2 or 3 before drawing. Gross multiplier is 0.96 × reward raised to the selected power divided by its exact mean over all 1024 graphs. The means are 1.4248046875, 3.3076171875 and 8.4677734375 respectively. Each mode has 96% expected gross return, with different payout distributions; this does not promise a session result.

Modes and Normalization

Saved simulations contain one million rounds per power, three million in total. Measurements are supporting sample observations, not the payout law or a promised session result.

Controls and Stakes

Select stake 10, 20, 50 or 100 virtual coins and power 1, 2 or 3. Defaults are stake 20 and power 1. The whole stake is deducted and saved when the draw starts. Stake, power and restoration are locked during drawing; sound remains available. There is no Auto, Stop, early cash-out or automatic queue. The ten displayed bits represent edges, not five graph vertices.

At settlement, add previous fractional carry to stake × gross multiplier, credit the floor to the whole-coin balance, and save the remaining fraction for later draws. A zero-reward draw preserves carry. Gross returns include the stake and are not profit.

For example, a five-vertex cycle has reward 3. In power 1 its gross multiplier is approximately 2.021329677861549. With stake 20 and zero carry, the gross amount is approximately 40.42659355723098: credit 40 and retain the fraction. Starting at 1000, the resulting whole-coin balance is 1020 after deducting stake 20. The displayed rounded multiplier does not replace the full value used in settlement.

Wallet and Persistence

The wallet starts with 1000 virtual coins without cash value. While idle and below 10, you can manually set the whole-coin balance to exactly 1000. This replaces the low balance, does not add 1000 and preserves carry. Current balance, including zero and a captured stake deduction, and carry persist on reload.

An unfinished reload gives no refund, payout or resume. Its captured stake remains deducted, and selections reset to stake 20 and power 1. No unfinished board or selection settings resume. There is no account recovery or cross-device wallet synchronisation.

Privacy and Storage

The current balance and fractional carry are stored in localStorage. Clearing browser cached files alone may leave the wallet intact; removing this site’s localStorage clears the saved balance and carry. Local wallet storage does not establish anonymity or exclude other processing.

The published page requests Google Fonts stylesheets and font files and Statinside44 site-counter resources. These observations are not an exhaustive privacy audit and do not establish retention, sale, anonymity or security guarantees. No account or payment flow is offered by this demo.

Frequently asked questions

Is Block Span a live casino game?

This independent guide hosts its own original Block Span virtual-coin demo. It does not certify an outside product. No outside operator, licence, official app, business ownership or reputation is verified here. Virtual coins have no cash value; no account or payment service is offered.

Can I cash out early?
